Fresh Milled Stromboli

I made this stromboli with 4 day old refrigerator dough, and it was fantastic. I'm doing a series on pizza dough, 3 ways! I made a triple batch of pizza dough, stored in large containers in the refrigerator. I pulled a container out for 3 days and made different meals each day! I hope you tune in for it! It is an easy way to get dinner on the table and not have to begin dinner completely from scratch!

Fresh Milled Stromboli

Makes 3 large stromboli, feeds 6-8

Ingredients:

1 pizza dough recipe

1/3 cup salted butter

1 tbsp minced garlic

handful of fresh Italian parsley

3/4 pound peppered salami

3/4 pound pepperoni

3/4 pound sliced provolone cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella

Fresh parmesan

Directions:

Make the pizza dough recipe.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Divide the dough into 3 pieces. Flour or oil your work surfaces. Roll the dough into a rectangle that is the length of your baking sheet. Melt the butter, chop the parsley and minced the garlic, add to the butter. Brush the garlic butter onto the dough. Spread shredded mozarella on the dough. Layer the sliced provolone. Layer the salami, then the pepperoni. Roll the dough tight-ish to make a roll. Slice the top a few times. Brush with melted garlic butter. Shred fresh parmesan all over the top. Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper, transfer the stromboli. Bake 25-30 minutes.
